We need to remember that Mental Health is the umbrella for when we are well, poor, and suffering an illness.
In our society, we pay little attention to our ill health until it becomes a real problem/illness. When we use negative coping mechanisms such as alcohol, drugs, caffeine with unfailing regularity we should be talking about our Mental Health and ensuring it is not deteriorating.
Mental Ill Health is when we feel lost or anxious and it begins to affect all areas of our life but we continue to hobble through our day. It can be caught early enough to remedy but if left will deteriorate to Mental Illness.
